When we saw him at the adoption event, Tok was happily on his back receiving belly rubs from his young volunteer. Tok loves kids and belly rubs, so he was understandably in heaven. He was making out with everyone who dared to dip to his eye level. That one's a kisser! We filled out the paperwork and away we went... Tok jumped into the car and happily gazed out the window. He knew something good was about to happen!
When we brought him home he was instantly accepted into our pack of pups. Our nervous shepherd quickly decided that he was harmless and sweet. Our bossy jack russell terrier established that she was the boss and Tok bowed politely to her will. Our goofy, lovable pit bull couldn't stop licking Tok, further establishing that Tok is dashingly handsome and superbly charming. He was a fan favorite with the pups. Next we introduced him to our kitties and all was well. He doesn't seem to care one way or the other about his new feline friends. There are too many things to sniff in this house and he's on the case! All and all, a very nice beginning to a beautiful foster relationship!
After Tok settled in, it was that special time of day... DINNER TIME!!! Instantly, Tok turned into a giant puppy. "Dinner you say?! I LOVE DINNER!!!" He gobbled down all of his food, but was happy to share it with us whenever we took the bowl and handed it back. What a good boy! After another potty break outside, something amazing happened... Tok discovered the toy box! He loves squeakers and this stuffed pheasant is among his new favorite things.
After a nice play session, it was time for a nap. All of the larger beds were taken by the other pups so Tok grabbed the smaller bed next to me. It wasn't long before he was in dream land...
After a good nap in his tiny bed, Tok came and joined me on the couch for some more belly rubs...
And then relaxed on the comfy pillows...
I think he could get used to this pampered life. He is such a good boy! We cannot wait to find him the perfect forever home because, again, he is perfect. :)
